Book Review Saturdays: Existentialism and the Meaning of Life
Once I grasped what Frankl was going on about in "Man's Search For Meaning", I was left with a problem: if it's up to us to create our own meaning, how does one go about doing that?
As luck would have it, a few years later I stumbled across the Great Courses series "No Excuses: Existentialism and the Meaning of Life" by Robert Soloman.
This is the perfect follow-up to "Man's Search For Meaning", as Soloman takes us all on a tour of existentialism and existentialist thought. He's not a dogmatist, and existentialism to him doesn't mean nihilism or rejecting faith (although it might have meant that to some of the authors he introduces us to).
I enjoyed this even better than Frank's book. It's an audio book/audio course. If you're interested in this topic, this is a must-consume series.
