Cinema Saturdays: The Forgotten
This is one of the scarier movies from the 2000s and (I think) one of the most philosophically scary movies out there.
The premise is simple: if reality can change suddenly and you're the only one who knows it, who is sane and who is not? What obligation do you have to your own values and memories and what obligations do you have to get along with the rest of the world?
Alzheimer's Disease is a good example of this happening, and it's why it is so frightening. If the world you know and remember slowly dissolves, yet you stay the same as always, how should you handle that? How should we prioritize our feelings against what everybody else is telling us?
If you like "thinking" horror and sci-fi, you'll like this movie.
