The robot monster didn't work, one of the main stars was drunk all of the time, the director didn't want to do it, they started without a script, and the guy who invented Star Wars got stuck inside the monster's mouth.
George Lucas used to love to drop by the Jaws set, walk up to Bruce (the name of the shark) stick his head in, and make funny sounds. That was all good fun until he almost got stuck.
You can tell if a work is great art if it has emotional power decades later. Jaws still rocks on that count. You can tell if a work is a crowd-pleaser if it has tons of sequels and remakes.
This is not only a fun horror/monster movie to watch, this is a fun movie to re-watch too, especially around Halloween.
