Hobbies (Aviation): A few years ago, Siberian Research Institute of Aviation (SIBNIA) took the design of the venerable AN-2 biplane and modified it, recreating it in carbon-fiber and adding a modern, hi-performance engine and prop.
The air tractor was already was a legend in aviation. The manual says that with loss of power and/or orientation, keep the wings level, power off, and stick full-aft. The plane will descend safely at about parachute speed, allowing a safe landing. (No need for rescue chutes here)
With the new modifications SIBNIA says the minimum _forward_ airspeed is "close to zero'
Biplane or helicopter, you be the judge! (No word on when/if this might reach production)
